Description
Toucari is a northern fishing village in my birth country, The Commonwealth of Dominica, where Catholics make a pilgrimage on the feast of St Peter. I remember enjoying a "Belle March�" (walkathon) from Portsmouth, my home town, to Toucari, which is several miles away. "Belle March�" is very popular in Dominica. So, I tried to replicate the scene of Toucari from the slopes of the mountain to the east looking down towards Douglas Bay with the Cabrits in the distance and a glimpse of Prince Rupert's Bay and at the same time portray the Madonna and child.
