Description
 David G. Wilson
Born into slavery and equated to plantation commodities like human property, this towering genius single-handedly saved the agricultural future of the Southern states, especially for the poor subsistance farmers who were former slaves like himself.
From potatoes he produced flour for bread, crayons with which he painted and even paint. Peanuts yielded ink and other food products. But from soy, he produced milk and plastics and today he is known as the father of Chemurgy. Humble and low-keyed this gentle intellectual giant was courted by captains of industry like Henry Ford and President Roosevelt travelled to Alabama for George Washington Carver's peanut oil treatment to sooth the problems caused by his polio.
