Description
The lady is an illusionary amalgamation of the geographic features of my home town, Portsmouth, The Commonwealth of Dominica, in the Caribbean. The illusion is created by the strategic juxtaposition of these topographic features that are unique to Portsmouth; a view that I burnt into my mind after having enjoyed it every afternoon during my nineteen formative years in Portsmouth. This face always represents my mother's because it was in that town that she stimulated my imagination and oriented me towards the perception of alternative realities within a given image. © David G.
