Description
The strategic juxtaposition of still-life objects is designed to create a human form on a two dimensional surface within a three dimensional illusion. Here one sees two distinctly different entities existing within the same three dimensional illusionary space. They are mutually inclusive and therefore they exist as alternative realities and therein also exist as a parallel universe. My objective, in this painting, is to depict a dimension beyond our three dimensional terrestrial space that the human eye is wont to experience. Physicists tell us that there exists, in the universe, at least eleven (11) dimensions; time being the fourth and therefore my quest is to depict such a dimension within our terrestrial space. It is important to note that the book that the illusionary lady appears to be reading is not really in her hand and is actually the space heater in the background. This perception is unlike that which we are wont to experience or observe in our world. Hence the other dimensions of which physicists speak must be illusionary.
