Description
The Blessing being given to us is the small things that we take for granted. It is the food that we eat, the clothing that we wear and the shelter that protects us from the elements. Today we live in a world full of technology which makes life much more enjoyable and gives us more accessibilty to the things to which we would not normally have accsess. Many have paved the way for us to enjoy these amenities. But the one who has made the ultimate sacrifice for our most valued aspiration is whom we should venerate. He is the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who appears at our table even if we do not always see him, he is there. He is there as the vase with the bird-of-paradice flower granting the blessing. He is there as the body of Eve prostrate in a pool of blood as a dog keeps vigil. He is there as the vehicle that transports our soul to the ultimate destination that we most desire. He is there because he said "I am the way the truth and the life. No one can get to the father but thruogh me." He is the threshold through which we must pass. He is there in the loaf of bread of which he said, "This is my body." He is there in the glass of wine of which he said, "This is my blood." But not only that. He is in that glass showing us that he sacrificed his blood and he still hangs on that glass which mimics his body on the cross. His presence is felt as his glass, in which one may see the crucified Christ hovers over Eve's apple complete with its worm hole is being crushed by the weight of the crucifixion in order to absolve us of that original sin. David G.
